Adult bullies are costing* your business thousands, hundreds of thousands of dollars or more in lost productivity each year.
 
My work on the topic of bullying initially consisted of research, writing and delivering workshops on students who were bullying others and those being bullied in the K-12 system. However, seldom would a workshop go by without someone raising the topic of adult bullies within their school or school system.  Since I want to increase the productivity of your school or schools for unless you have the most perfect school system in the universe, you have teachers who are bullying students and other teachers, you have principals and vice/assistant principals bullying students, parents, teachers and other staff and you may, very well, have personnel within the Board/Regional Office who are abusing their position and bullying a full range of others for their own social, emotional and personal gain. 
 
Again your school system is underperforming because of this dysfunctional behaviour. Students are the net losers, followed by the dedicated, talented and highly adaptive teachers who are impeded in their desire to achieve excellence and finally you become, by default, a loser, because your system is not producing the results expected by students, parents and taxpayers.

In this intense developmental workshop the focus will be on clearly setting goals but more importantly learning and employing strategies that will allow you to work through the many obstacles to reaching these goals. The skill of/in becoming a change agent will have application for your personal life and all aspects of your professional life

# 3  Instinctive Judgement- The Ultimate in Brain Development

A quote by Malcolm Gladwell from his book “blink”, page 272.   “What set Michael Jordon (substitute the name of any other honestly successful person here) apart from his peers was his attitude, motivation (and applicable knowledge).  And those qualities can’t be measured with formal tests and statistics.  They can only be measured by exercising judgement, by an expert with long years of experience, drawing on that big data base in his/her unconscious and concluding, yes, they have it or no, they don’t.  The very best and most successful basketball teams – like the best and most successful organizations of any kind (including school systems or classrooms) are the ones that understand how to combine rational analysis with instinctive judgement.”
 
For Gladwell “instinctive judgement” is the power of thinking without thinking.  It is the uncanny ability to see things that need to be addressed, to make assessments and to arrive at positive workable solutions “on the fly”, as it were.  It is a special intelligence, developed over time that combines one’s ability to be emotionally and cognitively “in the zone”.  This state of thinking results from the experience of hundreds of incidents, the application of training and a background of rationale analysis. All successful teachers have instinctive judgement in spades.  Outstanding administrators have instinctive judgement in abundance.
